Last Friday, I had the honour of being present at the wedding of my boyfriend’s sister Kate to her now husband Martyn. They got married at a medieval National Trust-owned pub called The Fleece Inn on the edge of the Cotswolds. It was a perfect day for them both – sunny, relaxed and full of happiness with free-flowing booze and plenty of delicious food. As a gift to them, I offered to make cupcakes for the reception. The cakes, pictured above, were lemon and poppy seed with a lemon buttercream icing and chocolate (a recipe from the second Hummingbird Bakery bird) with chocolate buttercream on top. I love the way they presented them on logs – they fitted in perfectly with the rustic feel of the day. Congratulations you two!
things like that make occasions of importance unforgettable with a very personal touch …well done … look scrumpalicious 🙂
That’s so kind, thank you. They tasted pretty scrumpalicious too!
They look amazing!
Thanks Sophie!
